Chairman's Profile

Ravikumar Gorantla, the Chairperson of the famous Sri Harshini group of educational institutions, started his career with a master's degree in Mathematics from Andhra University in 1994 as a lecturer in Mathematics in various Junior Colleges in Ongole. In no time he became very popular as an excellent teacher in Mathematics. Spurred by this recognition he started an institution with the acronym I.O.M (Institute of Mathematics) in 1995 to offer coaching for all competitive examinations. And in no time the institute became a synonym for all competitive examinations having bagged state 1st rank in MCA in 2000 and 6th rank in 2006 and appreciated by the then honorable Chief Ministers Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Sri Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. Encouraged by this recognition he founded Sri Harshini Degree College in Ongole 2003. G.R.K. Degree College, Maddipadu (2005) and Sri Harshini Educational Institutions (KG to P.G), Martur (2007). It was not one of its own kind but an entirely different one. Being a visionary he incorporated in the regular curriculum. Reasoning, Arithmetic and Communication skills in English the subjects the proficiency in which is a must to face any entrance exam to join P.G courses or to get a job. Another unique feature of this college is placement drives on the college campus for the outgoing final year degree students.

G. Ravi Kumar was successful in inviting many a multinational company like Tech Mahindra, GENPACT, Infosys, Syntel, Divi's Labs to college to conduct recruitment drives on the campus. This was an opportunity only for the students of Sri Harshini group of institution in Prakasam and nearly districts. During the last ten years thousands of students got jobs in the various M.N.C's.

AWARDS and RECOGNITIONS:

1. Active member of the Lions Club International of Ongole and participates in the various service activities of the club.
2. Awarded outstanding young person award (OYP) in 2010 for his achievements in the filed of education at young age by Jayees International.
3. Recipient of the best director of educational institutions award from Telugu Nadu Student Federation.
4. Nominated to the Acharya Nagarjuna University academic Senate as a member.
